An Ode to lost love

You are in my thoughts,
always the reason for a smile

when i think back at the times,
we have spent together,i begin to miss you

i laugh at things we did together,
for each other
things which we wont have done,
if we dint like each other

It was love and nothing else

Now things have changed,

we have become too worldly
being worldly makes us think with parameters
such as the family, their expectations from us, the loan we owe them.
the community,they want us to be totally like the norms they have laid down.

but the fact is we are different now

we are bored of ourselves,
we need a change,we need to meet new kind

we need variety,
and when we think in these terms.

it says we were never ever in love
it says we never ever understood each other,
it says we should say goodbye without regrets

I know its this way,
but i have a problem.. I can never ever convince myself

that we are never meant to be together again,
we can never speak our grievances to each other,

never ever share our joy together,
never ever speak about our craziest ideas

never ever tell each other our wildest imaginations,
never ever be the best of friends.

mates...lovers...companions..Adam and eve,
all these words have now become history.

its all us alone and the rat race

i pity myself,

i hate myself for i could not contain you,
i hate myself for i couldn't make u mine,
i hate myself more than ever,i miss you.

i love you and i don't have words to say

I wish you be happy with whatever u do
whomever u want to be with,wherever u want to go.

But memories will haunt u,a love ghost
a shadow even in your dreams
